About Lid First
Lid First helps people pick one water bottle they will actually carry every day. Bottles are sorted by lid first, because the lid decides how you drink, how you clean and whether the bag stays dry.
Each pick starts with a published test where one exists and then gets checked against the current Amazon listing. Prices and sizes carry dates, and so do weights. Gaps are shown as gaps.
The site is small on purpose: ten bottles, three alternatives, a dozen accessories and the guides that explain them. When a listing changes or a source updates, the page changes and the author page logs what moved and when.
The site earns a commission when you buy through its links, at no extra cost to you. Commission does not change which bottle comes first.
